Eugene's beauty has been compared to that of Olivia Hussey (during her Romeo & Juliet days) ever since she debuted as a member of S.E.S. She was worried about the pool scene in the movie because she wouldn't be wearing make-up, but the movie staff complimented her, saying she looked better without makeup. the quotes were "Without make-up her pure beauty showed" and "Eugene usually doesn't apply thick makeup in the first place so there was no big difference. She has nice skin so she looks younger without makeup"

Actress/entertainer Kim Soo Mi praised Eugene's body as "a wild S-line" (S-line is a Korean pop culture term if you didn't know. It basically means you have a curvy, sexy body. Like an S get it? haha) Kim Soo Mi was interviewed on the afternoon of the 12th (at the poster photoshoot) about the movie's swimming pool scene and complimented Eugene's body. She said "Eugene's body is as hard as a rock. Her waist is thin and feminine, yet it has a wild, feral feel to it," and "She was tanned from traveling recently, which gave her a healthy and beautiful look."
Unstoppable Marriage Won over Spiderman
'Unpreventable Marriage' (produced by Culture Cap Media, directed by Kim Song Ook); Eugene's movie debut with actor Ha Suk Jin, batted against the premiere of Spider Man 3 in Korea last May 10th. May has been filled with the openings of Hollywood Blockbusters and some Korean films planned to postponed their movies. But not this movie.
It was aired last May 10th and battled against the top. Not only they did not overcome the other movies it topped on the Cinema and almost beat Spider man 3.
Although some people in Soompi reported that this movie beaten Spiderman 3 because of its popularity, there's now over 400 theaters showing the movie. The movie (Unstoppable marriage had 39% of the ticket sales, while Spiderman 3 has 20.7%. Congratulations Eugene!

April 4, 2007Eugene, Musical Appearance Postponed Due to Rib Hairline Fracture
Due to a hairline fracture on the ribs, Eugene's musical appearance on A Dancer's Innocence will be postponed.
Eugene, who has been double-casted in the musical 'A Dancer's Innocence' (opening this Thursday, the 29th), discovered too late that she had a rib hairline fracture from too much strenuous dance practice.
Last Friday (23rd), after rehearsing the dance competition scene in the musical, Eugene felt a sharp pain in her ribs, so she went to the hospital and had a CT scan done. After confirming a rib hairline fracture, the doctor said, "it's not serious enough to be concerned about, but I'm surprised she could bear it and practice in that state for such a long time," and told Eugene to rest for at least a week.
But because this was her musical debut and there was only one week before the opening, Eugene persisted that she had to keep practicing. Upon hearing this news, the director and playwright persuaded her to postpone her first appearance by at least a week.
In the end, the performance on the 31st, which was originally going to be Eugene's debut, will go to Yang So Min, who was double-casted with Eugene.
Eugene plans to begin performing in the April 4th or 7th performances.
Eugene is currently avoiding strenuous dance practice and is focusing on singing and acting.
The director said that "Eugene was so determined and burdened to be at her best for the audience, that she stayed and practiced her dancing until 2,3 AM even after her costars finished practicing," and was amazed at the amount of practice she put in.
There is a lot of excitement over 'A Dancer's Innocence' since it will be all-around entertainer Eugene's musical debut. It will be performed from the 29th of this month to July 1st (3 months) at Seoul Samsung Dong Baek Ahm Art Hall.

Eugene will start working on the romantic comedy movie "Unstoppable Marriage (temporary title)" this November. The movie can be said to be a modern adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet" with a comical twist.
Eugene is paired with Ha Seok-jin, who starred in the MBC drama Dr. Gang. The two are expected to show a refreshing romantic comedy movie.

Eugene, the heroine of the melodrama <The Innocence Of Dancer>
Ever as a singer from female band S.E.S and an actress, Eugene goes upon the melodrama stage this time.
She will perform as the heroine of the melodrama <The innocence of dancer> which will be showed from 29th Mar to 1st Jul in the Hundred Cancer Art Hall in Seoul.
The melodrama is adapted from the movie which is acted by Moon Geun-Young and Park Gun-Hung. It describes such a touching love story between a famous dance sport player Yung-Si(acted by Park Gun-Hung) and a dance sport actress Char-Rim(acted by Moon Geun-Young) from China.
This movie is produced by 컬처캡미디어 directly, and Eugene will act Char-Rim in the homonymous melodrama, while the hero will be acted by Choi Sheng-Won.

Christian Eugene
November 2, 2006Eugene traveled to India to introduce Christianity.
After the performance during Moon Cake Festival, she flew to India together with other members from church for a 10 days tour.
Majority of the Indians are either Buddhist or Muslim, and Christian are the minorities, and Eugene, a devoted Christian worked hard to spread Christianity.
Despite her status, she helped the weak and poor to spread the Gospel of Christ.
Eugene is a faithful follower , and she started to participate in church activities since young. Even now, she will do her prayer whenever she faced important matter. She is a strong believer in Christianity.
While taking a break after filming <Really Love You> Drama last summer, she spend time to do meaningful things and spreading Christianity.

Sorry for the long awaited update of the fanlisting, so many things happen in my life so I lost focus on this. But now I am back and well as you can see, and know that Eugene is back in Korea. When she came back, she became one of the emcees in a korea show (is it award show?) I forgot… but yeah.

LEE MINKI.
I personally don’t know Lee Minki until I watched some few episodes of "I really really like you" (Eugene’s Latest drama). His role is quite amusing and irritating at the same time 
And I do admit that before He doesnt have the looks like Eugene past’s Leading man (Jae won, Jisung and jihoon.. I am not going to include pyh because I was never a fan of him ) so yeah…
But after watching the drama (about 6 episodes) He is quite amazing and a great actor. Especially when I saw his bloopers? he had to like memorize a lot of "LINES" but he had done it (Making Eugene speechless) hahaha!
Well anyway the point is… I am getting to like this guy! and I’ve seen some of his pictures, I’d say He is not bad 
And… to the news…
I Really Really Like you is almost finish (2 more episodes left). And Fans of Eugene and Lee Minki were rejoicing because it’s going to be Bong-Bong couple (bong soon and Bong ki) hahaha

Eugene’s Acting Career Turning Point
July 22, 2006An Authors Review: Eugene
Personally, I would say RRLY is a turning point of Eugene’s acting career. How so? If you had followed Eugene’s drama since her debut, it’s not hard to see the similarities of the characters she played thus far. Consequently, Eugene runs the risk of being stereotyped into playing such characters and Yong Bong Soon in RRLY is a totally surprising and yet refreshing change.
Prior to the airing of the drama, many viewers expressed concern about whether Eugene will be up to the task of playing a simple countryside girl who does not know the norms of the society. In the viewer’s mind, Eugene, the former SES k-pop singer, who is glamorous and pretty, will not know how a country girl will behave. Eugene proved them wrong with her splendid imitation of the Kang Won Do accent and mature acting skills. In fact her rendition of the popular recessional hymn, Arirang, is also gaining a lot of popularity among viewers.
Although I find Eugene acted well in her old dramas like Last Dance and Wonderful Life, it is in RRLY that she makes your eyes light up and proved to people her ability and versatility as an actress, not just a pretty face. Frankly speaking, I did not really like RRLY initially and it’s a rather slow paced drama easy to give up for those who are impatient. But I watch on, believing in Eugene and I was not disappointed. Eugene made the character Bong Soon alive and this is a drama that will grow on you. Bong Soon is a very simple and naïve girl with a mind pure like a child and Eugene really portrayed Bong Soon’s childlike behave so well that you will unconsciously see yourself smiling as you see Bong Soon’s cute little actions and facial expression. I never knew Eugene can be so expressive and cute until I watch this drama.
To conclude, I would say RRLY is not your ordinary comedy and it does require some patience to appreciate this drama as being 36 episodes, the development of each character is rather slow and the front few episodes are a bit boring. However if you bear with it for a while, you will discover the gems in it. A drama not to be missed!

A high-powered travel trade mission from the Philippines will arrive in Seoul on June 6 in a bid to sustain the massive influx of Korean tourists to this archipelago in the Pacific region.
At the head of the mission is Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace H. Durano, who will be in the center stage of the Korea World Travel Fair (KOTFA) slated at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Seoul on June 7-11.
Durano has been invited as a special guest of honor to the KOTFA event for the second year in a row.
Secretary Durano is scheduled to meet with his Korean counterpart Kim Myong-kon, minister of culture and tourism, on June 9 to exchange views on ways of promoting two-way tourist traffic between Korea and the Philippines.
A spectacular exhibition and performances for the launch of its marketing campaign in Korea is in store for the Seoul event.
"Our presence in KOTFA 2006 will significantly boost our marketing efforts in Korea to help achieve our total target foreign arrivals of three million this year." With a growth rate of 27.6 percent in the first quarter (of the year) posting 144,768 arrivals, Korea is now the top tourist generating country for the Philippines," said DoT Secretary Joseph Ace H. Durano.
To be launched at the June 7 activity at the Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel is the DoT’s new marketing campaign "7,107 Philippines: More Than You Can Imagine" and the conferment of the Tourism Ambassador title on Korean celebrity Eugene Kim as new Philippine brand endorser.
Top-caliber delegation representing the Philippines travel trade industry to KOTFA are executives and officers of Philippine Airlines, Southeast Asian Airlines, Philippine Tour Operators Association, Century Park Hotel, Grand Regal Hotel Davao, Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila, Hyatt Regency Manila, Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park, Waterfront Hotels and Casinos, Worldwide Resort Philippines, Regent Travel, Mt. Our cameras found her in the middle of filming the current drama series, I Really Really LIke You. Her character has recently moved from the country to Seoul, getting a chef’s job at the presidential Blue House.
Before the drama had started, many had voiced the opinion that Eugene’s cosmopolitan image wouldn’t suit the image of an innocent young countrygirl. But they were wrong. Eugene even had the regional slang and intonation down!
I Really Really LIke You is set in Seoul, at the presidential Blue House and the story of the non-governmental people working there, such as the wait staff. Until now, Eugene had only played roles that were bright and courageous, afraid of nothing.
The friendly and plain character that Eugene is playing charmed the audiences in a much different way than when she had been a K-pop star. Her name gained the title of "actress," after her roles in Save the Last Dance for Me, and Wonderful Life. We asked her what attracted her most about acting.
In 1997, Eugene debuted into Korean entertainment as a member of the K-pop group, SES. The group’s popularity was unmatchable at the time. Unfortunately the group disbanded in 2002… But Eugene stayed in the game, releasing a solo album. It was a HIT.
When the group SES broke up, the three members went their separate ways, but three years later, they answered the pleas of their fans and held a memorable "2005 Reunion Performance." The girls rapport was still flawless and their bond remained strong. Now, how about answering the prayers of their fans and getting SES back together!
I Really Really Like You is centered around the life of Eugene’s character. There’s also romance blended into the mix to add some spice - a love triangle between Eugene, Ryu JIn, and Lee Min-ki. From K-pop princess to full-fledged actress.. How would the star like to be remembered?
